One Dogs Story

On one of my visits around town as a cable tech in the city of Columbus I visited a customer. This customer answered the door like normal, but little did i know there would be nothing normal about this visit…

He invited me in to set up his TV, but next to that lay a little puppy. This puppy lay on his side in such a way, I couldn’t immediately tell of his distress. However, when i went to touch him, he whined, then flinched away. I wondered and then asked out of curiosity why he had done that. His keeper then retold a story which lead me to tears

It seemed a few months prior to showing up, The keeper was taking a walk down town, just enjoying the sunny day in mid-december. As he walked he began to hear a rustle in a near by dumpster. Upon looking in it to see what was there, he ventured upon this puppy, now aptly named lucky. As he looked in the dumpster at lucky a nearby neighbor came running out of his house yelling to be careful, the dogs been beat by two neighborhood kids.

His recant of this story happened by two young teens, that were just walking the dog on a huge lead. The dog though was walking slowly, possibly for the lead was too long and way to heavy for this little pup. But instead of the kids picking or waiting up for the dog, they took their anguish out on it. This guy says that he was told the dog was used as a football thrown back between the two kids, then when he had enough drop kicked in to the trash bin and left there. The pups new keeper got no new info on the kids from the neighbor, but that the dog did nothing to provoke the attack.

I instantly felt heart sick and depressed, the pup was the cutest little thing and seemed as sweet as could be, but now it sat in fear of everyone. Why would someone do this to an animal? Have some people actually forgot we are all one in Gods light? or that we were once not far removed from animals!

Gods energy is in and of everything, it doesn’t skip species and pertain just to humans. It is as are all its children perfection in love, kindness and gentleness. Gods energy will caress and hold you in troubled times, or cuddle you when you’ve had that bad day. Animals are no different then people, never ever were. If anyone were ever to wonder about this, they don’t need to go far to read any number of stories on how animals lay down their life’s for their others or how animals without pay or reward would lend themselves to heal others.

 How many times can people look around and say that about others. In a time of  people seemingly being awakened to the spiritual  light,theres  still others that deny it. This is the time to feel heart sick at stories such as this and understand we are all equal in Gods love. Know that it is time to reach out to others that may lack that light and involve them, except them and lead them not in a religious way but in Gods way, for the energy which is God does not lend itself to anyone thing but to all things
