How many Spirit Guides do we have?

People work with what may look with an unlimited amount of guides, but usually not all at once. Also often guides can change their looks to match our way of thinking. Such as one that may have looked Native American was great while we were into shamanism but if we change and no longer work with this energy then that guide can and often does change form to one you can more easily associate with.
However, there are only five main types of guides that we use. Each of them has a different reason they are sent to help you.
All guides have mastered their life here on earth and as such have moved on. But, they all have also mastered different levels of the ethereal planes as well. Thus, our guides show to us in different forms and have a different reason for showing up. Not all guides are around you at the same time but show individually depending on one’s needs at the time.
THE 5 GUIDE TYPES
Teacher(chief)-This guide is not there all the time, as he is a high being in the guide realm and helps many at any one given time. Yet, he will show up when you need his type most and sit with you to guide you on your spiritual quest to further reach your life purpose. He also will send in other guides when they are needed for he knows what you need and when you need it.
Personal- This guide is probably the one that stays with you the closest, for his job is to help you stay focused in everyday ways. He will make you smile when you start to frown, make your artistic ways explode when they are spiraling away from you and so on. This guide will also keep you focused and grounded when working with spirit beings, for he works with worlds, the conscious and the divine source equally.
The Runner – This guide is there to connect us in dreams and our higher moments with our loved ones and missing items of deep emotion. He also will guide you to places that will help further you on your spiritual path. This guide can come in human form but is mostly seen as a spirit animal. This one guide will often seem to leave when he is not needed, only to come back when he is needed most, but he is always there for life often showing up in dreams, visions or totems.
Helper – this guide is the doctor, medicine man, or shaman in your life. He is there only when he is needed to help in the direst of times. He often comes in as a very smart, astute and loving person but is very wise and purposeful in every way. They will show you how to handle certain stresses or health problems you are facing. They should be listened to and given your utmost attention when they show to you, for they will advise you on how to handle things as they come. It is advisable to follow up your helper’s counsel with professional care.
Warrior-This guide also comes and goes when needed, but at times can stay longer than you need or even want. This is a two-fold guide for he can get you into trouble as much as he can get you out. He is the one that will guide you through rough waters and ill-fated times, but also he is the one that can lead you into wars that are not yours to be in. These warrior types have always led exciting lives, often being the ninja, brave or Viking in their previous times. Though they are a warring type they have also taught mastery of their own fears and weaknesses and in doing so can and will teach you how to master your own. So, when they show up know they are there for a reason. Listen to that reason with full intent but do not let them automatically lead you into battle.
Ascended Masters-Though these higher beings are not guides they are very much worth mentioning in hopes of noticing a very distinguishable difference. These beings have reached the absolute pinnacle of the completion of enlightenment. They have overcome all of life’s lessons, both karmic and otherwise, and in doing such are led to guide the guides. These beings are seated in the light of the highest divine energy. They as highest guidance very seldom come to earth but do on occasion visit to let us know they exist and help the world overcome adversity.
